No kiss washing after pretty much cousin yet

Ready in 55 minutes – drizzling rainy morning F55 at 8 55/60 at which hour went out. Sam Booth and Jack Green and John Frier puddling about the cave and archway – and sighting and backing up with the few loads of scale from Listerwick wheel race brought yesterday. Robert Mann away – with Joseph Mann – measuring at Walker pit, Wood x 2, Richard and Benjamin had just got the stone down brought yesterday to the pool lodge. Stayed with them till 10 1/4 setting a couple of stones and ordering about the pool – left them to puddle up

Breakfast at 10 20/60 to 11 going out but it rained smartishly. Much cousin locked myself in my study Ann would think me out changed my cousin paper

From 11 1/4 to 2 1/4 wrote out all but the first 8 lines of Monday and the whole of Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and so far of today – began to rain heavily about 11 20/60 and continued almost without abatement till 2 when 2 or 3 flashes of lightning and as many peals of thunder and it was fair by 2 1/4 – wrote letter to Mr John Lister about 1 page on the order I got last Saturday on the London Bankers of the Yorkshire District Bank (payable on demand) £36.15.0 the last 1/2 years rent of Sutcliffe Wood farm. Should have written before but waited to send at the same time a regular valuation of the farm – the tenant begged hard not to have his rent raised had given me an account of monies laid out by him which account I would write again by and by and send when I get the valuation

Out at 2 3/4 Slank out Ann in the blue room but never knew I had been in the house all day At the Rock-bridge till rain again a shower about 3 then with Booth the mason making the doorway from the phaeton house into the parlour – began it this morning planned about my aunt’s bed standing – the idea struck me it would no great expense to make a little cellar under the phaeton house to communicate with the present beer cellar – planned and ordered it – at the Rock bridge again – all the men had gone home this morning Robert Schofield and Joseph Sharpe had remained on setting – saw Joseph Sharpe at 3 p.m. and thought it would be fine that Robert could stay at the causeway moving – had Mr Husband about 5 – the 2 Wolstenholme men had cleaned and repaired the hall oak table and put it together again this waiting in the hall to be moved into the drawing room tomorrow

Dinner at 6 10/60 – coffee – rain kept us in the house till 8 – then walked in the garden about 1/2 hour – rain again. Sat talking in the north parlour till went to the aunt at 9 40/60 and sat with her till 10 20/60.

Ann widowy not glad that our going abroad is put off. Wrote the last 17 lines till 10 35/60 – sent off tonight the letter vide line 11 above, to ‘John Lister Esquire 13 Stockwell Common London’ looking out bills for John to pay and wrote to Mr McKean enclosing the check I ought to have sent last Saturday.

Went to the room at 11 – rubbed Ann’s neck 12 minutes.
