Very fine morning Fahrenheit 68 at 8 1/2 breakfast at 9 1/2 - saw Ann and the servants all to church at 11 10/60 - then siding till 11 50/60 and then sat down to write (in the salon)

Wrote to Mrs. Briggs and copy to announce Oddy's going home and copy of letter to Samuel Washington 1 1/2 pages small and close - respecting the rent day and work at home - saying that I meant the Northgate hotel rent and that to be paid by Mr. Thomas Greenwood for the Northgate hotel land to be received at least for the present, by Mr. Parker - 

Ann back from church at 2 5/60, bishop Luscombe said preached an excellent sermon, and off again at 2 3/4, after the servants had dined or rather taken their luncheon, Ann takes them to the Jardin des Plantes for Oddy to see the menagerie and gardens - Ann back from the Jardin des Plantes at 3 40/60

Talking to her some while - wrote out my letter to Samuel Washington - dinner at 7 - out at 8 1/2 Ann and I (took only Lefevre) and drove to the Jardin Turc - got out and walked along the boulevards - at the Jardin from 9 1/4 to 10 1/4 - again oboe concerto after feu d'artifice - home at 10 35/60 - had Josephine - made tea for Ann and did not leave her till 12 1/2

Fine day till rain from about 6 1/2 for an hour - afterwards fine evening - thunder and lightning between 12 and 2 tonight - Fahrenheit 69 3/4 at 12 1/2 tonight - till 2 20/60 tonight writing - copies of letters to Mrs Messrs Mackean Parker Gray
